Question by Charlene: How can I conserve battery on my Droid 2 phone?
Also, which apps work with DROID 2 to help conserve battery? I’ve heard Advance Task Killer by ReChild doesn’t work with Droid 2 so what other task managing apps are better?

My sister just got the Droid 2 and she has ATK on hers. She’s seen a huge difference in the battery life, so give it a shot and see how it is. Also you could go back to verizon and pick up a new battery. Sometimes the default batteries that are stock with the phone are faulty and don’t fully charge correctly.

There are a couple of ways you can save battery life on any android phone.
1. Put the Power Control widget on one of your main screens. Make sure to turn off WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and Screen Brightness when you don’t need them or aren’t using them.
2. I would uninstall ATK. Android system phones are based off Linux so the memory is allocated as needed. ATK may not hinder the battery life, but it can impact the overall speed of the device if not used correctly.
3. If you use a News or Social Networking widget, take them off. Since they are constantly talking to the web to get updates, this hinders battery life.
Juice Defender and Screebl
Task Managers do not actually save power. They just kill apps that drains power in the background… if you have any.
