An excerpt from the last speech given by Rev. Dr. Martian Luther King Jr. He was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee the next day on April 4, 1968.

It needed to be said. What we want to hear isn’t always what we need to hear. Back in the 1980′s corporations decided to send out youth scouts to get inside our heads. They saw us as a potential marketing demographic to exploit. They force fed us this culture, Record Labels, Rap, BET, MTV, Brand Names, Pop, the club scene, it’s all to serve a few greedy bastards at the top who are profiting off of our stolen identity. When we embrace this culture of ignorance we betray the dream of MLK.

@tessafied I fully concur. The power of the Reverend Dr. Martin Lucifer Coon’s voice sends a shiver up my spine. That “I have A Dream” speech in August 1963 defined a moment in history in a way that no other speech by no other man has ever done before or is likely ever to do again. Dr. Martin Lucifer Coon was an orator whose sublime skills will never be equalled. No other person in history, not Hitler, not JFK, not Gandhi, could deliver a speech as absorbing and gripping as Dr. Coon’s 1963 speech.

It was almost like he knew that it would be his last speech-if you look at his eyes -it is as if he was someplace else-we lost “The Peaceful Warrior” RIP Martin L King

  5. curtisjones400 says:

    What a great speech!

  6. Zuberi4 says:

Like Jesus, Martin Luther king knew he was going to die for his beliefs.
You could see the fear and anxiety in his face.
“If you love something, you fight for it.”

  7. Spencercw0wns says:

So…. this proves time travel is true. Makes me think that somebody went back the day or so before this speech and took him to the future to show him what he had inspired, taking him back with a sadness that he died the night afterwards. It’s almost like you can see it in his eyes when he states he’s seen the promised land and he isn’t afraid of any man, almost as if he’s accepted his death already and is forced into it. Interesting, very interesting to say the least.

Martin Luther King – The FACTS !
    (1) Used church money to pay for prostitutes
    (2) Had a taste for “white prostitutes”
    (3) Regularly beat prostitutes
    (4) Was recorded on FBI tapes shouting “I’m fucking for God & I’m not a nigger tonight” whilst having sex with 3 white prostitutes and then brutally beating them. Hours later he was dead.
    (5) Plagiarised his thesis.
    (6) Influenced by communist JEW Stanley Levinson, who wrote many of King’s speeches, including, some say, the “I Have a Dream” speech

JuifViliant if I hadda chose between living in a communist state vs a country where you could treat minority like dogs….I’ll get citizenship in a communist state hands down.

  26. Ramoneoh says:

The words in the header description of this clip are dead on correct! Prior to the 1980′s, there was actually a feeling of hope in the air.. you really could feel it! But by the end of the 80′s, that feeling of hope was completely gone. Everything has become opposite of what the movement was all about, and no one wants to open their eyes to it. No one wants to take active steps to rise up and turn things around again. This is not the dream Dr. King spoke of; No! It has become a nightmare!

  27. zippy476 says:

The white man will always remain in power for two simple reasons; The nigger is neither intelligent enough or motivated enough to take it from us.

I have a dream that one day my little white son and little white daughter will own your little black son and little black daughter. Because clearly the black race was better off with some direction under slavery. At least you had a purpose instead of running around not knowing what to do.

White man can guide you or you can be free. Cant have both.

  28. zippy476 says:

I see so the white man created rap and the “gangster” culture. I remember “Don’t snitch” was Ronald Reagan’s campaign slogan. then….hmmm seems as though whites create everything and blacks sit around and complain using white inventions.

The fall of black culture after the civil rights movement started in the 70′s when you niggers didn’t have any direction. You won and so instead of moving on to the next issue you started a nice long party.

  32. BlakAttk says:

@jamesclark131 what are you talking about? he’d be so upset with how we act now days. We have regressed since the 60s and 70s. We went from being the whipping boys to a highly respected people…and now we’re society’s clowns. Us as a people should be ashamed.

  33. mikenumber22 says:

This video is about how African Americans can’t take responsibility for their own actions and decisions in creating this current culture. Poster, don’t you think it’s a little ironic that you instantly turn around and blame it on corporations. The ignorance and blindness to the consequence of you not living your own life, and constantly making the wrong decisions is astounding. And this is not against all African Americans, I respect a large number of you. But to those “niggas” shame on you!

  34. brosiv12 says:

just shows how far today’s African Americans have fallen since they lost their greatest leader all those years ago.

  35. TheEnigmaticTwinky says:

    “I’m going to Canada.”
Truer words have never been spoken.

  36. rodneycbarker says:

the idea now is how can we improve this image and not only image but reality?
they are many approaches but I think it start by looking at the man in the mirror and then moving forward and influencing the people close to you. Behaviors like going crazy for some jordan sneakers is something that does not help.
We need to uplift the people, and live to the dream of our Prophets:
    Marcus Garvey/MLK/Bob Marley/Gandhi/Steve (Bantu) Biko.

  37. XLRO8 says:

*yes* not a nigga, just a black guy.

  41. Kross2099 says:

@lmca117 Have. How far black people “Have” regressed. I’m not typically one to correct trivial pieces of grammar, but you’re criticizing an entire group of people as if they’ve gone backward in the evolutionary chain. If you intend to offer negative insights on a group of people, please make sure you’re not showing your own ignorance while you do so.

  42. Voodooray007 says:

    @DesertRose209 ouch, stay strong.

  47. MrBanditoRazor says:

Its a damn shame the lesson that can be learned from this… will mostly get ignored.

  48. lmca117 says:

This episode makes you think about how far black people has regressed since the Civil Rights Movement.
