    @BluJaguar9x

    The Sport is a $19,500 option — certainly not >$30k. Minor improvements is subjective, but it includes the more powerful motor (going from 3.9 to 3.7 sec 0-60 is a big difference that you can really feel!), fully adjustable suspension, and lightweight forged wheels. It all makes a noticeable difference over the base model. But yeah, 3.9 sec 0-60 is still REALLY fast. Lambo Gallardo, Ferrari F430 fast.

  3. BluJaguar9x says:

    There’s also the issue that this is the Sport model, which only has very minor improvements over the base model, which is > $30k cheaper. Base model does 0-60 in 3.9 instead of 3.7 seconds, but has the same range.

    If only the best will do, and money is no object, go for the sport. if you have to finance it, get the base model. Or wait for the Model S.

    When petrol hits five dollars a gallon in the US, who will doubt the economics of the alternatives?

  5. worthmor says:

    I want one

  6. ekuwa69 says:

    You know when you say the price tag, you could at least tell people that it’s faster off the line than cars that costs twice as much.

    Of course a large majority of people are not going to buy it, large majority of people don’t buy sports cars.

    excellent work!

    the internal combustion engine is only 20% efficient and has been since its inception. time for a change. the electric car is the answer to lowering our need for oil and having to fight wars over it. also, the air we breath and our childrens future on this planet will be better off. people who shit on this idea with un informed statements blow me away. those of us who can afford this car should buy it and set an example and in the future, hopefully more affordable vehicles will be available.

    @gorivatra
    THIS IS THE RECORD OF THE FIRST MAN-MADE EARTHQUAKE.
    I am not wrong. I challenge you all. With this so many lies fall.
    Man-Made earthquakes… The U.S. account of the damage caused by Nikola Tesla in the first major earthquake made by man is in this 1912 government paper, “The Earthquakes at? Yakutat Bay, Alaska, in September, 1899.”

    look back at the pioners… there wasnt much of a difference.
    wait a few year so they find more eficient bateries

  11. donilocorleone says:

    Believing that petrol cars are cheaper is stupid, someday you will kill to get one drop of oil.

  12. sperle2003 says:

    the baterys cost 19 thousend dollars…….you need them new all 60 thousend miles………that make the price go up to around 3.10 dollar per mile……most expensive ride ever lol …….. and wait 36 houres to can drive 200 miles again ? not in real……….how useless is the car please?

  13. gorivatra says:

    i want one too , and i am so glad that they name company after NIKOLA TESLA …..!!!! I think he deserves this honor,and long live TESLAS legacy !!!!!

    ”Ere many generations pass, our machinery will be driven by a power obtainable at any point of the universe” – Tesla

  15. ratryu says:

    Me too. I want a Tesla. I hope to purchase their third model. I hope they adopt the Better Place business model for the battery. Then maybe I could afford the Model S.

  16. mrxray69 says:

    nice car….but it can only be charged where you install a high power charger for 45 minutes……would be great if I could charge it overnight anywhere…….or while i’m at work…let them pay for the EL

  17. corbin72 says:

    You should probably do your research before saying anything, this car has the power and as the stats show it CAN handle the high speeds for extended amounts of time and distance. Electric vehicles are still not at all perfected, in the near future Tesla Motors will produce faster, more efficient, and less expensive vehicles. Compared to other electric cars I would rather drive a Tesla.

  18. peptopro17 says:

    Yea try and take it past 100mph for a little while and see how long that generator will last.

  19. TheNascoKids says:

    I could potentially get in trouble for saying this, but the company I work for builds all the electronic components for these cars. I so want one… wonder if I can get a discount?

  20. Noupao says:
